Beautiful solid walnut primary has broken arch carved pediment with pinwheels, center removable capped urn finial, and has two lower 16 pane, hinged doors. Center drawer flanked by waist molding with two hinged blind doors below. Supported by cut out bracket feet. Top molding is dental design; upper doors have scalloped top windows with Satin string inlay through perimeter, peg construction original brass hardware. Interior are four shelves with three having scallop, center drawer has satin wood, string inlay with matching waist molding. Lower doors repeat inlay, and has carved fans placed in each corner of panel. Has eight original brass H. hinges perimeter of cupboard has fitted wall moldings. Back of cupboard has southern yellow pine boards. Drawer has dovetail construction and is signed under drawer, made June-11-19-48 by George. Overall outstanding example of Alamance Co. master cabinetmaker. Examples of this quality are rarely offered to the public.
